Graffiti Busters.

Our hypothesis was if graffiti was art or vandelism. We looked at various graffiti artist and analysed there work. We mainly focused on one stencil artist called BANKSY. I believe that graffit is art but it can be concidered vandelism when It is put in the wrong spot. For example, someones front fence.
Graffiti busters were our first elective task in our BYTES program. The two learning attributes I developed was personal learning, design, creativity and technology. We all had to find an image or create an image of something that will grab the attention of people in the school yard to stop polluting.
The BYTES task was to create an image or find an image of the internet and turn it into a stencil. We had roughly 6-8 class lessons to design our stencils. After being created, we had to then spray it onto a bin.
I came up with my design of thinking of some sort of creature that is harmless and appealing, which was Pikachu. I then printed off a toxic waste symbol and stuck it onto his stomach so it gives people an idea off the damage they create by polluting.
My first steps of planning were to first find images that I wanted to stencil. I then photo shop them to remove colour and contrast. Next I had to print it and stencil it.
I learned from doing this task that polluting is bad and it’s harming our environment and to put my rubbish in the bin. I also learned how to create and make a stencil. I could use these skills in the future if I wanted to make a stencil of my own.
